Title: Water quality in small dam reservoirs on the example of the Gołuchów reservoir
Abstract. In the paper the quality of water in the catchment of the Gołuchów reservoir during 1990-2006 was presented. The Gołuchów reservoir is a typical small, lowland and shallow dam reservoir. Main tributary – the Ciemna River is very polluted by biogens, the catchment is still not sewered, and there is no improvement of the water quality. The reclamation (aeration plant, biobarriers, sedimentation tank) of the reservoir is not efficient. The catchment management is not proper for water quality improvement. The authors pointed out needs of cutting off the pollutant sources.
